Cream the butter and the sugars together. This is an important step to fluffy cookies, so mix the butter and sugar together long enough. About 4-5 minutes by hand and 2-3 minutes in a stand mixer.
Stir in the eggs.
Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Add in the vanilla. Stir.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and fully baked. Times will vary depending on the size of the cookies.
