Better Than Take-out Cream Cheese Wontons

I love cream cheese wontons! Biting into that golden brown and crispy wonton to get to that sweet and savory cream cheese filling is a dream. Whenever I order these from a restaurant, they are packaged with sweet and sour sauce. I typically don’t use the sauce. If I used the sauce, it’s probably because the wontons at the particular location are not sweet.

In the Chinese-American restaurants, there are crab wontons. I give the amount of crab to add to the cream cheese filling for that recipe. The restaurants usually use imitation crab meat made with pollack. I know I titled this recipe, “Better Than Take-Out Cream Cheese Wontons”, however, I’ve tasted some amazing wontons and this recipe is inspired by them. How cool is it to make delicious wontons delicious and fresh right at home? That’s awesome! They taste like they are fresh out of the restaurant’s kitchen. You can skip the order time and make your own.
