These delicious, easy-to-make saucy barbecue meatballs will be one of your favorite go-to appetizers.
Barbecue meatballs are such fun to eat. They are so easy to make and super loaded with flavor. They are the perfect appetizer to enjoy while watching the football game and other occasions as well. Making meatballs from scratch may sound like a lot of work, but it’s not. This recipe is already simple, however, to make it easier, you can set up what chefs call mise en place. It’s having every ingredient ready ahead of time. Vegetables chopped, meat portioned, spices measured . . . everything in place so all you’ll have to do is place every ingredient in the bowl without having to chop or measure in between each step.
Mince the onion, green bell pepper, jalapeno, and garlic. If you’d like, buy the packaged cut up vegetables and mince a 1/2 cup. You can add fresh jalapeno and garlic cloves to the mix or you can exclude the jalapeno and garlic. It adds another layer of flavor if you do though.

If you choose not to dice your vegetables, you can absolutely buy some already chopped. You can mince them or put them in the food processor if you don’t want big bites of the vegetables in each bite of your meatballs.
