Starting today, I am featuring each cookie and the pecan/praline candy on the blog one at a time, starting with our signature Chocolate Chip cookie.
I use brown butter, a combination of milk chocolate and the finest Belgian dark chocolate. There’s a specific technique I came up with to create this beautiful surface. It gives the appearance of a dark chocolate stroke followed by a chocolate trail somewhat embedded throughout the lines. I wrote down every detail, step by step to ensure every cookie purchased has the trail of chocolate; however, no two trails will be exactly alike, and neither will they be perfect circles. I want organic pieces of art in the form of a cookie. It may sound like a lot, but it’s not. Ha ha! It doesn’t take much time at all.
The chocolate chip cookies have an initial delicate crunch. It’s followed by a soft, chewy, ooey gooey center. It can be microwaved for 10-20 upon arrival to warm it up; however, the best method to warm your cookies is the oven. 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes for those nearly just baked slightly crispy edges. I’ll have the instructions on the cookie care cards that will be enclosed in each order.
This delicious dark Belgian dark chocolate started as an eleven-pound block. It looked like a work of art. I consider it still a work of art in a different form for our Signature Chocolate Chip Cookie.
